Tatiana Nieuwenhuys, NP
Tatiana discovered her passion for healthcare when she served in the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa. She served in a small rural community with no access to clean running water, electricity, or paved roads. The community helped open Tatiana’s eyes to the value of healthcare when illness arrived because people were unable to work, cook and take care of their families.
After returning to the United States, Tatiana pursued a career in nursing. She completed her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then worked in a Medical ICU in Birmingham, Alabama. Both these experiences shaped Tatiana in pursuing a career in primary care to work in primary prevention. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, trying new foods, hiking, and exercising.
