Dr. Eckstein obtained her undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1997 with a major in Women's studies and a minor in Education. After working in NYC for three years, she matriculated at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and obtained her MD/MPH in 2005. She completed her Family Medicine Residency training at the University of Arizona, Tucson in 2008.

She has worked mostly in academic settings but also spent three years working directly for a Medicare advantage plan.

Regardless of practice setting and various job roles, she has always found patient care the most rewarding and centering.

Outside of work Dr. Eckstein enjoys spending time with her human and animal family.
