Dr. Vasanta Weiss is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Originally from Dallas, TX, she graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1998 and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2001.

She practiced internal medicine as a hospitalist for several years, then went on to obtain a specialization in Nephrology (kidney disease) at the University of Virginia Medical Center in 2007.

She has spent the last 15 years in Tucson working in different clinical roles, including in private practice, as a hospitalist, and as a nephrologist within the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System.

Dr. Weiss looks forward to bringing her passion for patient care and diverse breadth of experience to her internal medicine practice. She is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, and volunteering in the community
