Catherine is a native Arizonan, having grown up in Yuma prior to moving to Tucson for college. After moving to Tucson, Catherine met her husband and settled down on the Northwest side of town. Catherine earned her associate degree in nursing at Pima Community College, her bachelor’s degree in nursing through Grand Canyon University and her Masters in Family Practice (FNP) through University of Phoenix. Catherine has spent over 13 years as a Labor and Delivery nurse and Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Catherine’s favorite part about being a Labor and Delivery nurse was helping patients through the process of adding to their families and empowering new mothers with knowledge and skills to help their babies thrive. She decided to pursue her degree as a Nurse Practitioner after seeing that her patients often did not have consistent health management after their initial care at the hospital. Catherine has a strong desire to build patient relationships and empower her patients to achieve optimal health by helping them to navigate and learn about their diagnoses, medications, and plan of care. She strives to provide current evidence-based care that incorporates her patient’s health goals. Catherine is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants.

When she is not at work, Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, two cats and their constantly changing menagerie of bugs, lizards, and fish. Catherine is ardent in her desire to raise her children with the same kindness and informed perspective that she brings to her patient care. She also loves to bake sourdough, craft fun projects, cook delicious food, and read books when time permits.
