Vickey Fisher, FNP
Vickey believes each patient is unique, as are his or her circumstances and health care requirements. As such, medical treatment and wellness strategies demand custom tailoring to meet each patient's needs, not the other way around.
In addition to treating immediate physical symptoms, Vickey strives to empower her patients to take care of themselves by arming them with the best information and resources available to address their unique health issues and encourage them to incorporate wholesome habits into their everyday life.
Vickey began her nursing career in 1993 after obtaining her Associate in Nursing from Wallace College, Alabama. In 1996, she went on to earn her Bachelor in Nursing from Austin Peay State University, Tennessee. As an RN, Vickey worked as a critical care nurse in the hospital ICU setting.
In 1998 Vickey obtained her Master in Nursing from Murray State University, Kentucky. She then worked as a family nurse practitioner in rural communities throughout Kentucky and Tennessee, serving as a clinician in women's health, allergy – immunology, chronic wound care, and college health clinics.
Vickey has now returned to her Arizona roots to be closer to family and to enjoy an active lifestyle in a drier climate. In her spare time, she loves to experiment with new recipes, join her running group for an early morning run, and curl up with a cup of tea and a good book.
