Emily Ichikawa is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) located in Tucson, Arizona. She was raised in California and graduated from the UCLA School of Nursing. After several years of inpatient and outpatient experience as a registered nurse, she returned to school at Simmons University in Boston Massachusetts, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and specializes in family practice. Her training comprises management of acute and chronic conditions for all patient populations. Emily’s prior experience in multiple mental health care settings, paired with her FNP training, allows her to assist patients with physical needs, as well as provide resources for mental health care needs. Emily utilizes a patient-centered care approach and works with patients to integrate healthcare modalities that will work best for their individual lifestyles. For the last two and a half years, Emily has been providing care to the Tucson community in an integrative healthcare practice that focuses on primary care, mental health care and pain management needs. She is excited to offer comprehensive healthcare visits by blending these specialties into the care she provides for her patients.
While away from work, Emily likes spending time with her husband, Nicholas, and rescue dog, Finn. She enjoys cooking, running, and exploring the outdoor trails and hiking Tucson has to offer. Emily also loves camping, domestic road trips and backpacking abroad. While she cherishes time spent with family in New York and California, she is always happy to return to Tucson, where she now calls home.
