Our IS Department is currently seeking a full-time qualified candidate to join our collaborative team in delivering excellence in systems management and user support.  Our IS Department is comprised of a skilled team of application, systems support and management professionals.  This position is in our Executive Central Business Office where employees enjoy a casual and professional work environment with an opportunity for a hybrid work status. While remote candidates will be considered, preference will be given to local candidates. (Residents of California, Oregon, Washington, and New York are not eligible for remote employment).

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position acts as the primary support analyst for Epic Healthy Planet. This Epic Analyst is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting the Epic Healthy Planet module. The Epic Analyst will work within clinical, regulatory, financial, and safety guidelines. Key functions will include:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, end users and other members of the business teams to optimize system configuration, function, and access.
  • Proactively partner with operations to improve workflows leveraging application functionality.
  • Evaluates problem tickets and service requests, customer requests for system changes, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities, and participate in the timely resolution of these activities.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex application errors and other system issues.
  • Actively leads and takes ownership for the build and maintenance of various system dictionaries, profiles, tables, and other configuration points.
  • Identifies system enhancement requests and works with the team to communicate them to the vendor as applicable.
  • Tests the system, including any configurations, customizations, and new releases, prior to production implementation.
  • Works with end-users to assist with the design and testing of system reports and communicate changes to end users and other staff, as applicable.
  • Participates as a team member in various projects.
  • Prepares for and participates in system design, validation and/or remediation sessions.
  • Understands data flow and supports/develops interface files.
  • Provides support through periodic on-call rotation and go-live/variable evening hours for project related work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field OR a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with an electronic health records system (clinical experience highly desired)
  • Two (2) years’ working experience and knowledge of clinical application workflows and troubleshooting.
  • Must complete assigned training courses and achieve Epic certification within 120 days of hire.
  • Possess a service and process improvement mindset with an interest in building relationships with customers.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Certification in Health Planet or Ambulatory preferred
  • Experience working with registries, Epic reporting workbench, decision support tools preferred
  • Familiarity with case or care management workflows and wellness programs
  • Familiarity with or background in quality reporting initiatives such as MIPS
  • Familiarity with patient and provider outreach tools
  • Familiarity with health plan concepts and workflows
  • Experience in Compass Rose workflows
  • Experience with building out HCC, CCM tools with Compass Rose, Smartforms, and problem list updates/Health Maintenance completion
  • MIPS builds for Quality and Objection Measures
