Biography

Dr. Ortega grew up in the desert town of El Paso, Texas; where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at El Paso. He attended the University of Texas Medical Branch for his Medical Degree.

He later moved to another desert town for his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona. There he discovered the love in mentoring medical students interested in Internal Medicine as a specialty. Dr. Ortega is passionate about medicine, patient care, building patient relationships, and dark chocolate.

Dr. Ortega is fluent in Spanish (spoken & written). He likes to spend his free time taking photographs, hiking our beautiful desert, and spending time with his family and their many dogs.
